Paid Review Disclosure

True Voice Review offers paid professional review services. The fee compensates TVR for the time and work required to evaluate the book and prepare the purchased deliverables. The fee does not purchase a favorable review or a particular rating.

Rating Scale

TVR currently uses a five-book whole-number rating scale. The current rating names and explanations are published on the Ratings page. No half-book or fractional ratings are used.

Editorial Judgment

Reviews reflect the evaluator's professional judgment of the submitted work. A review may identify strengths, limitations, audience fit, craft concerns, content considerations, or other factors relevant to readers.

Reviewer Identity

Reviewer identity is not displayed publicly in the current TVR public-review system. TVR may maintain internal records needed to manage the review process.

Corrections

Authors may request correction of factual errors such as misspelled names, incorrect publication information, broken links, or other objectively verifiable mistakes. Requests to change an editorial opinion, rating, or legitimate criticism are evaluated separately and are not guaranteed.

Book and Author Information

TVR may publish the book title, subtitle when applicable, author name, cover image, genres, rating, review content, purchase link, author website, and related public book information supplied by the author or publisher.

Promotional Materials

Where included in a purchased package, TVR may create pull quotes, one-sentence review text, rating graphics, press-release material, social-media graphics, or other listed promotional assets. Promotional assets are based on the actual review and should not be altered to misrepresent the review's meaning.

Content and ReadSafe Information

Some packages may include reader-facing content notes or a ReadSafe Rating. These tools are intended to help readers understand audience level and notable content; they are not a substitute for a reader's, parent's, educator's, librarian's, or bookseller's own judgment.

Declining or Discontinuing a Review

TVR may decline or discontinue a review when a submitted book cannot reasonably be reviewed, required materials are unavailable, the submission is unlawful, or a conflict or other circumstance prevents a fair professional review. Any payment adjustment in that situation will be handled under the Refund & Cancellation Policy.

No Sales or Publicity Guarantee

A review, rating, graphic, press release, or social-media promotion does not guarantee sales, media coverage, retailer placement, rankings, awards, or other commercial results.
