Why True Voice Review Was Created

Built to Give Authors More Than a Single Quote

True Voice Review was created through the work of the Texas Authors Museum and the Authors Success Center, growing from a need for a book-review system that was fair, thoughtful, and genuinely useful to authors. Rather than reducing a book to a single sentence or promotional quote, TVR was designed to provide a more complete assessment, with multiple review elements authors can use across websites, social media, advertising, press materials, book listings, and other marketing efforts. The concept also reflects more than a decade of experience supporting authors, building on work that began in 2011 with the goal of helping writers better present, promote, and strengthen the visibility of their books.

About True Voice Review

True Voice Review helps readers discover books through clear, useful reviews while giving authors review materials they can reuse across websites, media, marketing, and promotional campaigns.

Every Book Has a Voice.

A book review should do more than summarize a title. It should help a reader understand what the book offers, how it reads, and whether it may be right for them.

True Voice Review combines editorial review content, a whole-book rating system, author and book discovery, and optional promotional services in one public platform.
